PARENT-CHILD SWIM LESSONS

The YMCA offers swim lessons for most every age & ability. Read on for specific information
pertaining to the following classes:

Parent/Child Lessons:

Mom & Me, Skippers, Parent-Child Pike

Ages 6-36 Months

We also offer private swim lessons for youth & adults as well as a Swim Team program for those competitive swimmers!

MOM & ME
AGES: 6-12 Months (with parent)
This is a first aquatic experience for infants and their parents. Songs, games & splashing activities help to build a confident relationship with the water. Each child must have independent head control. » Click for Dates & Times

Fee: $50 Members, $65 Non-Members

SKIPPERS

AGES: 13-24 Months (with parent)

This is a fun parent and child interactive class that uses songs, games and independent work to help little ones adjust to the water. Objectives include holding on to the wall without assistance, climbing out of the pool with assistance, blowing bubbles, putting the face into the water, floating on the back with assistance, paddling, and kicking.

PARENT-CHILD PIKE
AGES: 24-36 Months (with parent)
This class is designed for children that are mature enough to begin learning basic swim skills but not quite ready to leave the comfort of their parent's arms. Parents are guided through the instruction process of teaching their child the back and front float, kicking and basic survival skills.
