CINCO DE MAYO DINNER FUNDRAISER |
To Support YMCA Scholarship Program
Dinner will be held Friday, May 7th at 7:00 pm at the Wellwood Club in Charlestown, MD.
The YMCA believes everyone should have the opportunity to become members, participate in programs, and enjoy the YMCA experience regardless of one's socio-economic background. Therefore, financial scholarships play an integral part in the YMCA mission. This year we will award over $100,000 in scholarships for programs such as preschool, before & after care, youth sports, and memberships. The scholarship fund is privately funded; however, we provide scholarships well beyond the donations received for the year.

HEALTHY KIDS DAY - April 17, 2010 |
| |
Are your kids Healthy?
Help Your Child Learn a Healthy Lifestyle
Raising healthy kids is every parent's goal. You want the best for them. Being healthy means lots of things–growing up strong and fit; making connections and developing positive relationships with others; learning to be responsible, self-reliant and able to make good decisions. |

Find out ways to improve your children's and your family's lifestyles and habits. Healthy Kids Day provides kids and families with information on how to be healthier in all aspects of their lives. For the YMCA, good health involves the spirit, mind and body. A "healthy kid" not only eats right, exercises and avoids unhealthy substances like tobacco and alcohol but also demonstrates values such as caring for others and taking responsibility for improving the environment. Join the Cecil County YMCA and YMCA's across the country as we celebrate Healthy Kids Day with our community. Free games & prizes for all! |
