YMCA child care includes all kinds of families. We provide more than just a place to play. We provide experiences to help entire family units cope, grow, communicate and care for each other. YMCA child care maintains and strengthens what starts at home, giving families the support they need to succeed. YMCA Preschool program is open to children 3-5 years old, who are fully potty trained.

YMCA Preschool Program... "Where Young Minds Come Alive"
The YMCA of Cecil County Preschool is designed to develop the whole child. Our programs are designed to facilitate the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child.


The Philosophy of the YMCA Preschool:

	To prepare children for kindergarten by using the Maryland Model for School Readiness.
	Individualized approach to learning with emphasis on self-development rather than competition.
	Grant children the gift to develop according to their own natural developmental skill levels.
	Strengthen emotional and social development for future learning experiences.


Objectives of the YMCA Preschool Program

	Provide an environment which is pleasant, attractive and where the child can interact with his/her peers.
	To know the joy of learning.
	Provide developmentally appropriate activities designed to meet each child's needs.
	Provide the child with the necessary skills to become self-sufficient within the environment.

As a service for our members, program participants & guests we offer child watch. This service is provided so that your child(ren) will have adequate supervision while you participate in YMCA programs. Parents are to remain on site while their child(ren) is/are in babysitting.

THREE MONTH, SIX MONTH & YEARLY PASS GUIDELINES: Unlimited children, unlimited use, and PARENTS MUST BE LEGAL GUARDIAN OF ALL CHILDREN.

PLEASE NOTE: Any parent who leaves the premises while their child is in YMCA Child Watch will forfeit all membership privileges!

		The Full Day Preschool Program

		The Full Day Preschool Program is open from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm each weekday: Open Enrollment Fee: Full Time $120 per week (Children may enter program at any time throughout the year when space is available).

The Half Day Preschool Program

The Half Day Preschool Program runs from September to mid-June. There are two sessions each day: 9:00 - 11:30 am -or- 12:30 - 3:00 pm.

The Lunch Bunch

The Lunch Bunch is from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm (Monday thru Friday) and costs $5.00 Per Day.

Children may attend 5 Days, 3 Days (M,W,F) or 2 Days (T, TH) per week.

FEES: 5 Days=$62 / 3 Days=$42 / 2 Days=$37

Half

Non-refundable Administrative Fee for all new registrants: $25.00
(Non-refundable 1st week deposit).

Half-Day Summer Camp...

YMCA PreSchool Summer Camp is designed for children 3 to 5 years old. A theme is introduced each week of camp, utilizing age-appropriate developmental activities. This ten week program runs from June 21st thru August 27th (you may register on a weekly basis) with two (2) sessions available daily:

9:00 am - 11:30 am -or- 12:30 - 3:00 pm

Registration begins Monday March 1, 2010.
A minimum enrollment must be met for each session.

Children may attend 5 Days, 3 Days (M,W,F) or 2 Days (T, TH) per week.

FEES: 5 Days = $62 / 3 Days = $42 / 2 Days = $37

(Advance payment required at registration)
There is also a one time non-refundable $25 Registration fee per child.

Kindergarten Day Camp...

The YMCA has established a day-long Kindergarten Summer Day Camp for 5 & 6 year olds who have completed Kindergarten or who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2010. It is an age appropriately "themed", day-long Learning Center based day camp - which bridges the gap between our half-day, PreSchool Summer Camp and our day-long Camp Chesapeake Day Camp. This ten week program runs from June 21st thru August 27th, daily hours of operation are:

6:30 AM - 6:00 PM

FEE: $120 per student, per week - There is also a one time non-refundable $25 Registration Fee per child. Registration guidelines are the same as Camp Chesapeake. Registration begins Monday March 1, 2010.

You can bring the completed forms with payment to our facility, mail the forms with a check or register by fax with a credit card. Simply complete the forms in their entirety and fax them to us with your credit card information to: 410-398-0013. Be sure to include all credit card information: type of card, card number, full name as it appears on the card and expiration date. We accept most major credit cards–Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Before & After School Locations...

The YMCA of Cecil County is working hard to provide quality before & after school care for parents. YMCAs aim to build self-esteem and provide the concrete tools youth need to be happy and productive in life. The before and after school programs focus on arts & craft activities, physical fitness, healthy snacks, homework time, etc.
