16-7 Baseball & Softball Academy

The Legendary Academy is now the "16-7 Baseball & Softball Academy."

The 16-7 Leadership Staff are Baseball and Softball experts who have returned to Cecil County with vast and diverse experiences that will provide unmatched instruction for the next generation of baseball and softball players.

Ed Lynch's baseball and softball pedigree is unmatched in the area. He is a former professional baseball player in the Pittsburg Pirates organization and was the Founder and manager of Johnnies semi-pro baseball team which were perennial champions of the Maryland semi pro league and two times eastern United States champions. Coached the Rising Sun High school softball team and led the Tigers to two state champions in 1997 and 1998. He is Founder and Manager of the Maryland Legends softball organization who were the 2006 Pony National Champions. It is through these programs over the years and his instruction that he has helped over 100 boys and girls receive baseball/softball scholarships for collegiate level play.

Renie Mitchell Lynch is a former division I full scholarship softball player from Troy University. Rising Sun High School four-year varsity starter and an All-County player at she was part of the team that won 3 state titles in the late 90's.

Each month the program outline for players will include:  A well-rounded mechanics overview -- Skills Assessment, Hitting and Infield, Pitching and Catching
